Prague overview

Few will deny that the ‘city of a thousand spires’ is one of the most stunning cities in Europe. Since the fall of the Berlin wall Prague has flourished as a tourist destination. The amount to see is almost overwhelming and the gothic architecture of St. Vitus Cathedral, Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge are just the tip of the city’s grandeur. It may not be the budget paradise that it once was but at least this means that the stag and hen parties which once flooded the town have moved elsewhere. Prague is best seen on foot with regular breaks to sample one of the refreshing beers for which it has become legendary. Prague has a fabulous nightlife and for those who can manage it seeing dawn break over the city from Charles Bridge will not disappoint.
